Privacy Policy

MilesCost (the "App") is an iOS application to record vehicle costs and display corresponding statistics. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Process​

The App is designed to minimize data collection. Information used by the App to provide functionality includes:

Vehicles & Expenses​

  • What we collect: Data you enter into the App (vehicle records, expenses, odometer readings, notes, tags, etc.).
  • Where it is stored: Primarily stored locally on your device.
  • iCloud sync: If you enable iCloud for the App via your Apple ID, your data will be stored in iCloud and synchronized across devices using the same Apple ID. iCloud storage and processing are governed by Apple’s privacy policies: https://www.apple.com/privacy/privacy-policy.
  • Developer access: The developer does not access or view your locally stored data or iCloud-synced data unless you explicitly share it (for example, as part of a support request).

Data Sharing & Selling​

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Data stays on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account.

Contact & Support​

  • The app does not generate a pre-filled support email. If you email us, you choose what to include.
  • If you opt into "Share with App Developers" in iOS settings, Apple may send anonymized crash logs (device model, iOS version, app version, stack traces). These do not include personal content or diagnostics files and can be disabled in Settings.
  • Purpose: Troubleshoot and improve app stability.

Purchases​

  • The App is provided as a paid download. Payments for purchases are handled exclusively by Apple via your Apple ID. The App does not collect payment details such as credit card numbers.
  • Apple may process or retain information you provide for the purchase. The App has no control over Apple's processing of that payment information.
  • Pricing and purchase history are managed by Apple and are not stored by the App.

Analytics & Third-Party Services​

  • We currently do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • The App may include third-party SDKs or services (for crash reporting or analytics). Any such usage will be disclosed in-app if present, and those third parties have their own privacy policies which govern their handling of data.
  • If we add analytics or other third-party services in the future, we will disclose their presence and purpose within the App and provide links to their privacy policies.

Data Retention & Deletion​

  • Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
  • If using iCloud, data may persist in your iCloud account per Apple’s retention policies; you can delete it via iCloud settings.
  • To delete data created in the App, use the App’s built-in delete features or uninstall and remove related iCloud data as needed.
  • Apple-retained crash logs (if sharing is enabled) are controlled by Apple; you can stop sharing in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Children​

  • The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The App Store 4+ rating refers only to content suitability, not to data collection practices. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us to request deletion.

Security​

  • We take commercially reasonable measures to protect the data stored in the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Because data is stored locally and in iCloud (if enabled), protect access to your device and Apple ID; the App does not run its own servers.

Your Rights & Choices​

  • Access: You can view your data directly in the App.
  • Deletion: You can delete records or uninstall the App to remove local data; if data is stored in iCloud, delete it via iCloud settings.
  • Support: To request assistance or ask about data handling, contact support@neuronadvance.com. Provide device details and a clear request for faster help.

Changes to This Policy​

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
