Welcome
Welcome to the first blog post for this project. I started this space because building MilesCost has sparked more questions, detours, and experiments than I expected, and writing them down felt like the best way to turn wandering thoughts into something purposeful.
Why this post exists
I really did not know what to write about, so I started with the story of why I am building this app. MilesCost is meant to make every commute and errand a little easier by letting people compare routes, track spending, and learn what small decisions mean for their long-term goals. That means this blog will often be me experimenting, sharing early customer conversations, and boiling down technical problems that stop me in my tracks.
What you can expect
The plan is to treat every entry like a short field note: what went well, what felt off, and what it taught me. Sometimes that will be a quick launch recap, sometimes a bug hunt, sometimes a design sketch. To keep things useful, I will end with a question or a change you can try yourself, so if you read along you can try the idea, send feedback, or just know that the struggle is real.
Let me know what you are curious about—this space exists because the project feels better when I hear what others are thinking about too.
